Verdigris

Verdigris is an unsigned singer/songwriter and sound artist, currently based in Amsterdam. 

His art-work mixes the harmonic tensions of mediterranean traditional acapella choirs, with R&B vibes and electronic sounds. His lyrics touch on themes such as darkness and light, death and rebirth, lust and loss; Images and metaphors in his poetry, come from the tales and the myths of his homeland.

Born and raised in the mystical island of Sardinia, Verdigris grew up surrounded by a community knowledge deeply-rooted in the local ancient paganism. Performer since he was 16, Verdigris approaches sound and silence as raw materials, using them in a kind of stream of consciousness, channeling voices from the inside and the outside.
